You are cordially invited to attend the Digital Accessibility Lab Dedication and Open House on Wednesday, November 6, 2019 from 3:00 - 4:30 p.m. in Durham Center 206. Speakers are scheduled from 3:00 - 3:45 p.m., followed by tours of the lab in Durham Center 108. Refreshments will be served.
Designed as a welcoming and inclusive space, the Digital Accessibility Lab will allow students with disabilities to work together using assistive technology that includes speech-to-text software, text-to-speech software, gaming hardware and software, screen magnifiers, Virtual Reality headsets and more. Many Iowa State students experience daily barriers to their educational goals, and creating barrier-free access to hardware and software through initiatives like the Digital Accessibility Lab offers students greater opportunities to increase their course engagement and succeed during their time at Iowa State and beyond.
We hope you will join Information Technology Services in commemorating the opening of the lab and celebrating its delivery of the Iowa State mission to "create, share and apply knowledge to make Iowa and the world a better place."
